Police say the body of the 20-year-old male was found 90-feet below a cliff off Gertrude's Nose trail within Minnewaska State Park Preserve. He hadn't been seen since Monday, May 12th, Mid Hudson News reports.
Park Rangers were reportedly contacted three days later on May 15th after the New York University student's roommate said he was upset when he left on the 12th.

NY State Police joined the investigation and the search for the missing student using multiple resources. Eventually, he was spotted by a police helicopter and lifted away from the area.
Authorities have not yet stated whether the man's death was accidental or intentional, nor have they released his identity.
