So, what are our BIGGEST pet peeves when it comes to the obliviousness of our fellow drivers? The team at LendingTree, a known finance and insurance website, put their research skills into practice to find out.
Last month, LendingTree surveyed 1,823 to determine what driving nuisance bothers them the most. 92 percent of those questioned admitted to having at least ONE pet peeve about drivers. Honestly, I'd like to chat with the 8 percent that DON'T, lol. In addition, 55 percent of drivers surveyed have reportedly experienced road road related to some of the following pet peeves.
While the improper or excessive use of high beams really eats at drivers and they can't stand others who linger in the passing lane, those infractions are not among the Top 3 driving pet peeves, according to LendingTree's 2025 survey, the following are.
The Top 3 Driving Pet Peeves (according to LendingTree):
1. Not using a turn signal.
2. Texting while driving.
3. Tailgating
