With the lore of the Headless Horseman in our very own Sleepy Hollow, The Hudson Valley is home to one or more of some of New York's most notorious ghosts, lol. I mean, what about other restless spirits like Fiddler's Ghost of Clinton, the Mohican Princess of Spook Rock Road, the Imps of Donderberg, and even Major John Andre, who is said to haunt Patriots Park. He reportedly stayed a ghost of the heart of Benedict Arnold's wife!
Now that we're fully immersed in spooky season, the ghouls and ghosts are coming out to play! But how many of us living in the state actually believe they're genuinely in our midst?

Just ahead of Halloween, Mad City Windows put their researchers to work surveying over 2,400 Americans all across the United States about their beliefs in the paranormal, like apparitions, haunted houses, and more.
It turns out that 65.4% of New York residents believe in ghosts. That's more than 1/3 of the state!
What's more, is that 23.1% of us living in The Empire State have reported SEEING a ghost! That means almost a quarter of us have some frightening stories to tell, lol.
The state with the highest quota of ghost believers is Tennessee. I don't know what's going on there but 78.9% of the population think they exist.
Now, go an enjoy that stroll you've been planning through Sleep Hollow Cemetery!
