A new report from Zety finds that 1 in 3 employees have called out sick or used PTO after a romantic breakup, with men and younger workers being the most likely to call out. Enter ‘heartbreak leave’ — formal, employer-approved time off to recover from romantic loss.
The data shows many workers think broken hearts deserve a little PTO:
