Our Moon Gets Its Own Time Zone

NASA will soon be addressing a question you've probably never thought of before: What time is it on the moon? The White House has directed NASA to create a new time zone for the moon by the year 2026.  It will be called 'Coordinated Lunar Time' and allow different countries to operate with the same international standard. Keeping accurate time on the moon is more difficult than it sounds - due to its low gravity, time there moves slightly faster - by 58.7 microseconds per day. Who knew, right?
