Thanks to a $150,000 New York State grant championed by State Assemblyman Jonathan Jacobson (D, Newburgh), South Avenue Park in Beacon in Dutchess County is getting some much-needed improvements.
Construction on the rehab project, which has an estimated cost of close to $900,000, broke ground this week at the park just off the intersection of South Avenue and Route 9D, Mid Hudson News reports.
Already home to a playground, shady areas for picnicking, and athletic courts, here are all the upgrades the City of Beacon is making to South Ave. Park.
