High School in Corltandt Manor Honoring Pair of Exceptional Sports Figures

Two Walter Panas High School alumni were recently inducted into the institution's Athletic Hall of Fame in Cortlandt Manor, New York. On Thursday, November 20th, both will be recognized by Lakeland Central School District Board as part of Lakeland Salutes.

The 2025 Panas HS Athletic Hall of Fame inductees, given their honor in October, are Class of 2018's Josias Luctamar and 1998 Panas alum James Lindsay. Luctamar still holds the Walter Panas record for the long jump.

As for Lindsay, he scored 110 career goals and had 91 career assists during his time playing Panas lacrosse and would go on to numerous coaching positions in Westchester County including helming 18 seasons of Lakeland Panas Boys Lacrosse team from 2006-2022.

Among the dignitaries expected to be in attendance at the special Lakeland Salutes ceremony on November 20th in Shrub Oak is Lakeland Central School District Superintendent Karen Gagliardi as well as other prestigious school board members.
