How to Get a Free Ride Home on New Year's Eve

Being able to get a free ride on New Year’s Eve could save a life, maybe even yours, by preventing drunk driving, keeping roads safer, and making it easy to celebrate responsibly and get home safely.

For nearly 30 years, The Hudson Valley's own Dana Distributors, Inc. (which sells and distributes domestic  and imported beer, hard seltzer, craft beer, etc.) has been committed to helping partygoers get to where they're going safely. It’s nice because it shows their care for the community—helping people celebrate safely, reducing accidents, and making responsible choices easier and stress-free for everyone.

So, on New Year's Eve, Dana Distributors has partnered with Anheuser-Busch, MADD, and Uber to offer free rides. Isn't that cool of them to do? They're willing to pick up the tab so you don't have to use not having money as an excuse for getting behind the wheel buzzed, drunk, or impaired.

Pass this info along to your friends, too. Here's what to look for:

If you are out and about enjoying adult beverages to ring in 2026 put the keys away. Instead, scan the Dana Distributors QR code at participating bars and a credit will go to your Uber account to allow you to go home safely at no cost to you. Rides will be available throughout The Hudson Valley, including Orange, Rockland, Sullivan, Westchester, and Putnam County between 6 p.m. on December 31st and 4 a.m. on January 1st.

Since 1986, Dana Distributors, Inc. has provided more than safe 2800 rides home, in the process likely saving lives.

Celebrate safely and smartly with the help of Dana Distributor's and Uber. Happy New Year!
