MIKE BENNETT
Mike Bennett is a radio veteran who has done it all and seen it all from sales to news to DJ, with some stand-up thrown in! When not anchoring the morning show on 100.7 WHUD, Mike is kept busy by his wife, three married children and his 7 grandchildren! He knows more about Peppa Pig that he cares to admit and is a longtime fan of the Yankees, Giants, Rangers and Knicks. Mike has been called “The Voice of the Hudson Valley” and that voice has been heard on numerous ad campaigns for many WHUD sponsors including DraftKings Sportsbook, Frontier, Allstate, RhinoShield, Levity Live Comedy Club, Mahoney Asset Management, Westchester Medical Center, Cabrini Eldercare, Jonathan Green Lawn Care Products, Ramapo Joint & Spine, St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Westchester Modular Homes, Vermont Teddy Bear, PajamaGram and Masci & Hale Dentistry. Mike has also voiced internet videos for Mount Saint Michael Academy in the Bronx and SABO wastewater treatment in Newburgh NY. Mike was cast as the “Voice of God” in the Westchester Broadway Theater’s production of “Altar Boyz” in 2011, appeared in “The Producers” and in 2015 in “The Christmas Shoppe” with Alan Thicke on stage at Ike Hall at West Point and has twice read “The Night Before Christmas” with the Boston Pops there! Mike’s voice is also featured as the stage announcer at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (Woodstock site). In December 2013, Mike’s book “Don’t Pay The Ransom, I’ve Escaped”: Memories Of A life On The Radio was published. For three years he hosted the cable TV show, “Mike Bennett: On The Road” which won a TELLY award for “Outstanding Regional Entertainment Program. Always involved in the community, Mike been honored numerous times, including the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2012 and most recently by the Make a Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley.
