Make sure to get those hips ready and Blue Suede shoes shined up, because a very NOT-so-blue Elvis Presley Christmas is round the corner...
The upcoming Christmas season calls for some of the most iconic original songs and covers from some of the most iconic singers. Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, and of course, Mr. Blue Christmas himself....Elvis Presley.
2023 has been quite the year for Elvis, as there are now officially two posthumous movies about him and his life. We learned about his love, his stardom, and some of the heartbreaks, trials, and tribulations that come from being in the limelight. But one thing we all already knew, was the major impact Elvis Presley has had on the music industry, and will always have on us as a population.
To honor Presley and his impacts, NBC will be hosting a "Christmas at Graceland" special, directly targeted towards honoring Presley. This special will be the first-ever televised concert held at Graceland, Elvis' lived-in estate. It is said that "each artist will pay tribute to the King with performances from inside the Graceland estate, with Elvis’ granddaughter Riley Keough also making a special appearance" (she is also executive producer of the program!!).
The lineup is filled with some of our favorite artists, with some of the most calming and reassuring voices. Which, as we know, are the best voices to represent Elvis and his endlessly beautifully romantic tone!! The lineup includes artist such as Post Malone, John Legend, Alanis Morrissette, Lana Del Rey, etc...and will be performed LIVE at 10/9c on NBC (and streamed on Peacock) on November 20th!!
