Acclaimed “Queen of Rock n Roll” Tina Turner was announced deceased today, at 83 years old. Turner is most known for her hit records “Proud Mary”, “What’s Love Got To Do With It”, and “The Best”. Tina Turner’s music touched many, constantly bringing people to their (dancing) feet. Her contributions to the music world led her to be a well-known name, attributing her to being a recipient of several awards. Turner starred in several films, and eventually had a Netflix movie made about her in 2021. This movie followed her life story, and included interviews from Tina herself! The music industry, as well as all who have loved and followed along with Turner’s music career, are all very distraught. Turner’s music will carry on far after this loss, as we’ll be sure to carry on her legacy here at WHUD.
