Why Should We Honor this Teacher or Coach?:

Congratulations to our April
Coach of the Month!
Sharon Sarsen

Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School
Field Hockey Coach

Listen to the interview

Why are they are Coach of the Month?

Sars has done so much for me and my friends that she should be honored in some sort of ways. She developed a love of field hockey for me and my friends who have been soccer players all our lives. She also makes sure that no matter what school comes first and she tries to check up on our school work with our teachers. She even makes sure in the mornings we have something to do. She has intermurals and also she sits and talks to us before it. She has always been a great role model to me and all of the field hockey girls at copper beech and she has helped me so much throughout the years. Words can't even explain how great of a coach and teacher she has been to me and her players.

Congratulations to our March
Teacher of the Month!
Mr. Wienecke

Left to Right: Mr. Wienecke – Teacher of the Month,
Amy Watkins – Principal

Somers Middle School

Listen to the interview

Why are they Teacher of the Month?

Mr. Wienecke is my Living History Club teacher. He also teaches seventh grade Social Studies. I think we should honor him because he is willing to give up his free time to give students the experience of reliving the civil and revolutionary wars.

This is important because it teaches us that Freedom is not Free and that the simpilist things such as giving up our extra time in the morning to raise the flag means alot to the soldiers overseas. Not only do we get to be colorguards we also can put on the outfits from that time period and feel like its not just a costume.

I really think Mr. Wienecke should be teacher of the month because if it wasnt for him giving up his time, then we would never have the experiences we have had in the Living History Club such as marching in parades, putting up tents, doing reenactments and participating in Living History day at school and more.

Congratulations to our February

Why are they Teacher of the Month?

She is a down to earth, understanding, loving and spontaneous person.

She is so nice and really funny. She is the most inspiring teacher I have ever met. She treats her students like human beings. She wants her students to do really well in their classes, she also wants to help her students as much as she possibly can. She is the most amazing teacher ever!

She doesn't say no. She is rescuing animals, and making sure that we are all learning and passing.

You should honor this teacher because she doesn't have one failing student in her class and she is really awesome to us.

Congratulations to our January

Listen to the interview

Why are they Teacher of the Month?

Tim is a role model to each athlete on his team. He is able to motivate these kids on the field and off. He just doesn't care how they play. He cares about them as students as well as what kind of people these young men will become. He gives his time freely for these boys. He gives up time from his wife and son because he truly believes that these boys are his family as well. He is just an amazing person who is worth recognizing! .

Congratulations to our November

Mrs. Stathis

Listen to the interview

Why are they Teacher of the Month?

Mrs. Stathis gets us to pay attention with fun ways of learning. She always makes us laugh. She not only teaches math but she explains everything. She doesn't believe in the excuse "because my teacher said so". She explains why we do things and how to do them. She says " If you can do three examples, you can do thirty-three. She tells funny stories that we can relate to and offers math help. That is why I nominate Mrs.Stathis as teacher of the month.

Congratulations to our October

Mr. Sean McHugh

9th Grade Band
Fieldstone Secondary School

Listen to the interview

Why are they Teacher of the Month?

Mr. Mc Hugh not only teaches us how to play our instruments, but how to utilize them to help us deal with the stress that comes with being a freshmen. He has taught us that if we are stressed, if we pick up our instrument it will help put us in a better place. We will miss Mr. Mc Hugh next year when we move on to the senior high school. We wish he would be able to come with us he is the best and has taught us how to play as a band and not just as individuals.
