EVERYONE knows that it might be tempting to throw an empty can in the garbage, but recycling is always the thing to do, especially if you wouldn't want to pay a fine. There should be a fine for people who do not recycle because little by little communities would turn into better, greener places. Plant and animal species would be saved, the town or state government would receive more money to spend on things that are important to people in the area, and a LOT more individuals would switch to doing the greener thing, recycling.

First of all, who wouldn't want to save cute little animals and plants? If a fine was imposed for people who don't recycle, trees would be saved! We need trees for oxygen to survive. Plenty of animals make their homes in trees. Right now those homes are disappearing, but recycling changes that! In the future, if we recycle, children could wake up to breathtaking animals and plants, not garbage. Don't you want that?

Next, everyone knows that the government gets a generous amount of money from taxes, but if there were charges for not recycling, the government could use the money for something worthwhile. One example would be a better community center or parks where kids and parents could talk and play with one another. After school, kids could make crafts, play sports, and just be themselves. With the money that the government earns from fines they could build police and fire stations, so if anything bad ever happens, you would receive help faster. Schools could also be built so, class sizes would be smaller and it would be easier for students to learn. The town could also pay for clean-out, so the community could have less garbage lying around. You see, when the government saves money, good things happen.

Lastly, how many people do you know have enough money just lying around to pay for fines given to them for not recycling? There should be a fine for not recycling because a lot more communities would switch. Some people don't have an abundant amount of money to pay all those fines and bills, so they would just go in debt, just because they didn't recycle! What kind of person wants to be in debt? Even if families did have plenty of money, who would want to waste it on something as simple as throwing a can or some paper in the recycling bin? These ‘non-recyclers' would have to pay this fine, but people who DO recycle can save valuable money. Who would you rather be?

In closing, there should be a fine for people who don't recycle. Animals and plants would be saved, the government would get money, and a LOT more individuals and communities would choose to recycle. The difference the fine makes would be tremendous. So now I'm going to leave you with one question…:

Have YOU recycled today? And while you're at it, turn off the light and any electronics when you leave a room.

Tips:

1. Recycle glass, paper, and plastic

2. Turn off the light and electronics when you leave the room 3. Turn off the water when you brush your teeth. If you see a drip, stop it!

I think to save the earth we should pertect endangered spieces alot more than we all ready do because in the 4 months we have spent in 2012 we've all ready lost a spices off oselot and we could lose a lot more if we dont do something about it. We also need to stop polution it's going to start afecting our drinking water if we don't do anything either. Our planet is really important to us beacause its the only planet that we know of that we can live on and we have to keep it safe we have to conserve more energy and save more water we are losing all types of animals and we can't lose much more we need this planet to survive and that's why we have to save it.

I think that we should try to get rid of some traffic lights and install traffic circles. You just go around and you don't use electricity. This is how Europe does it.

Join my dad and I May 20th to help clean up the Long Island Sound at Orchard Beach. Cleaning up the beach could lead to cleaner water for fish, animals and plants in the water.Keeping plastic out of the water is importantant so the fish do not eat it and die.I also like to swim in the Ocean and do not want to have garbage in the water.
