Night Rhythms on WHUD Weeknights 7 pm to 12 Midnight

The first time you heard Kathy Millar on WHUD, she was a traffic reporter working for Shadow Traffic and reporting traffic for “Mike & Kacey in the Morning!” After departing Shadow Traffic, she joined WHUD in a fill-in capacity and now is taking on a new challenge as host of WHUD's Night Rhythms , airing Monday to Friday from 7 pm to 12 midnight.

Kathy's passion for radio goes back to her college days when she began working for WPSC-AM, the campus station at William Patterson University. While still in school she was hired as a weekend DJ at WNNJ-AM in Newtown, New Jersey becoming the station's midday host and music director after graduation. She moved on to other radio stations and in 1980 became one of the original Shadow Traffic reporters, during both traffic and news. In the meantime, she obtained an MA in Communications Arts from William Patterson University, which enabled her to teach Broadcasting-related classes at several area colleges and universities.

In 1996, Kathy left Shadow for the morning co-host/newscaster position at WLTW (Lite-FM) in New York City, a position she held until 1999. During that time, she became interested in the mind-body connection, finished her second MA in Psychology/Counseling, and graduated from the Institute for Therapeutic Massage.

Kathy returned to Shadow where she worked as a news and traffic reporter from 2001-2008. Most recently, in addition to her work on the air at WHUD, she was an air personality at Magic 98.3 in New Brunswick, New Jersey!

Now, she is ready to devote her full attention to evenings on 100.7 WHUD taking your requests and dedications and hearing your stories on the Hudson Valley's only “Live and Local” music request show! She is also looking forward to continuing WHUD's Hudson Valley Artist Spotlight heard Friday evenings.

In addition to her radio career, Kathy is a licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Reflexologist, and Third Degree Reiki. She is the winner of over twenty broadcasting awards, including several for public affairs programs she wrote, produced and hosted, and for noteworthy artist interviews. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys in-line skating, swimming, hiking, reading, singing, playing the guitar (badly), and cooking for family and friends.
