There are wondrous yellow brick roads to explore, but there is no place like home in New York. I’ve been fortunate to experience so much of this beautiful state. My eyes opened for the first time in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, but Long Island is my childhood home and frequent refuge. An acceptable distance from the beach, homemade tomato sauce, and the truest friends, Albany was my college place of residence—plus it was a fun road trip through the Hudson Valley.

My radio adventure began at WNYU-AM while I lived in a one-window West Village apartment not much bigger than a phone booth (but it was home)… by the lure of the food perfected in NYC—pizza. My first commercial radio gig was overseas at 89.2 Rightonradio on the island of roses and ruins--Gotland, Sweden, a sweet Medieval reminiscent place where they actually eat pizza with forks--Hej Allihopa!

Mornings on WBAZ-FM on the East end of LI taught me that resisting the charm (and pies) of the North Fork is impossible. After a fun, but short layover at Airport Plaza in Farmingdale at Island 94.3, my Great South Bay adventure allowed me to work with some of the finest broadcasters in this business, doing weekends at WALK-FM.

My radio road has detoured to the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina and Scranton, Pennsylvania, and I’m excited to be back in New York. I have seen Westchester and the Hudson Valley from an unusual angle, while sky diving near Stewart Airport. I’m so happy to have landed at WHUD. Music has always been the heart, soul, smiles and tears of my “adventure” and I look forward to enjoying the Night Rhythms with you!
