Finally! I saw the Lion King on Broadway....it is everything you would imagine and more. If you haven't seen it - Go...if you can make the time.
Yes - it's a busy time....OK - I get it now - It's ALWAYS a busy time.
I keep waiting for things to slow down...they don't. You have to be your own traffic cop and STOP
every now and then, to recharge.
And I will - as soon as my play is over! I've been touring with M&M Production's presentation of Sylvia by A.R. Gurney. There's this guy, and his wife, and the dog the guy adopts...and I play everybody else.
It's very fun. See it November 28 at 8 PM at the Van Cortllandtville School on Route 6 in a Paws for Love benefit. Or, catch it December 2 at the Nyack Library and December 3 at the White Plains Library at 2 PM.
Thanksgiving will find me serving, for the 3rd year, at the Peekskill Area Pastor's Association Community Dinner. This will be my final year serving. I feel guilty taking the spot of someone else who could have this life changing experience. For those of you who KNOW - I'm sorry it took me so long to find out. For those of you who have a routine holiday planned - here's a little nudge to try something different. There will still be plenty of time for 32 screaming Italian cousins and dishes piled to the ceiling - or at least that's what my Turkey (and lasagna and bracciole) Day looks like.
We recently had Suzyn Waldman on the air - she is starring in the holiday show at the Westchester Broadway Theatre - yes the female co host of NY Yankees radio is - and was - a Broadway enterainer!
She was so inspiring to talk to talk to! The lady has such positive energy, you feel better for having spent a few minites with her. I'm making my reservations today to see her onstage in Christmas Inn.
And then - I am going to California to meet my boyfriend's brother and his friend Slash.
When I get back I am going to move into my dream house - the one with the big back yard for my pets...and the little fire place for me and Mike. Yes - The Man of My Dreams is ALSO named Mike - how lucky can I get?
THEN - I am going to relax and enjoy some quite time....
I mean it!

There's a calm surrender to the rush of day, when the heat of the rolling world can be turned away.
An enchanted moment and it sees me through. It's enough for this restless warrior just to be with you.
